How Our Draws Work

Every Empire Competitions UK draw follows the same seven steps. Paid entries and free postal entries are given exactly the same chance of winning.

  1. Step 1

    Competition closes

    Entries close at the published date and time. Postal entries must arrive at our address before this deadline.

  2. Step 2

    Entries finalised

    All valid paid and postal entries are collated. Incomplete or fraudulent entries are removed.

  3. Step 3

    Ticket numbers confirmed

    Every valid entry is assigned a unique ticket number for that competition. The final ticket list is locked.

  4. Step 4

    Winner selected randomly

    A verifiable random selection is performed across the full ticket pool. Paid and postal tickets are treated identically.

  5. Step 5

    Winner contacted

    We contact the winner using the details provided at entry — by email, phone, or post. Identity is verified before any prize is released.

  6. Step 6

    Winner announced

    Once verification is complete and the winner consents, the result is published on our Winners page and our social channels.

  7. Step 7

    Prize fulfilled

    We arrange delivery or collection directly with the winner. Cash alternatives are offered only where explicitly stated on the competition page.
